Overview


Dr Phil Pearson is a lecturer in Physical and Health Education at the University of Wollongong, NSW, Australia. His current research is concerned with developing strategies for increasing the physical activity of children and adolescents in educational settings. The focus has been on pedagogy and support structures that encourage participation and increase enjoyment of physical activity for all children. He has been involved in extensive professional development of practicing primary and secondary PDHPE teachers throughout NSW in school sport and teaching games for understanding.
