Overview


Paul researches school principal leadership, educational governance and policy, school culture, and internationalism. His theoretical approach is interdisciplinary and informed by complexity leadership theory and post-critical cultural theories. He is experienced in both qualitative and mixed methods research. 

His doctoral thesis was the first investigation of principal leadership in Australian schools offering International Baccalaureate programs.

As a former school principal of more than 11 years, Paul is deeply committed to researching, developing and enhancing school leadership and governance capability, both nationally and internationally. He critically explores questions of equity, inclusivity, and social optimism.
