Overview


Paul is an experienced Secondary Drama and English teacher.  He has been Chief examiner for HSC Drama and a Senior Marker for the Scriptwriting component of the NSW HSC Drama examination. He established and lead successful Drama departments in the schools in which he taught before embarking on his doctoral study.  His PhD research focussed on playwriting pedagogy and creativity in the context of an external high stakes examination, resulting in his book Teaching playwriting: Creativity in practice,  published by Methuen Drama UK in 2019. He was the Director of Research for Drama Australia (2015-16) and is currently a committee member of Drama NSW.
