Research Overview


  • My research focuses on the social dimensions of science, technology and medicine. I have a background in Genetics (MA Cambridge, MSc Edinburgh) and in Sociology of Science (PhD Edinburgh). I try to understand how innovations and practices in health can be for the benefit of the wider population.

    Current research includes an ARC-funded project with UOW colleagues Vera Mackie and Sarah Ferber on IVF, and collaborations with science communicators and policy makers about precision medicine.
