Overview


Nana Wang is a research fellow at Department of Institute for Superconducting and Electronic Materials of University of Wollongong. She won the highly competitive ARC DECRA fellowship (2020) which is a good start for her. She devotes herself to develop the future green energy use to reduce our dependence on fossil fuels and facilitate a more sustainable world, aligning with UN SDGs Affordable and Clean Energy and Climate Action. She has made significant contributions to develop large-scale energy storage systems with high energy/power density to support the rapid deployment of variable renewable energy sources in Australia, and has shared her research results on many precious scientific journals including Nature Communications, Advanced Materials, Advanced Energy Materials, Angew. Chem. Int. Ed., Energy and Environmental Science, Nano Letters, etc. In addition, she is in recognition of the appointment as Editorial Board Member of Carbon Energy Journal (Immediacy Impact Factor: 21) and Nano Research Energy Journal (Expected Impact Factor: 21).

Research Overview


  • Dr. Nana Wang is a research fellow at the Institute for Superconducting and Electronic Materials at UOW. Her research interests include (i) lithium/sodium-sulfur batteries, lithium/sodium-ion batteries, aqueous zinc/sodium ion batteries, and solid-state batteries. (ii) Designing and fabricating new electrode materials with desired properties. (iii) Understanding the fundamental science of the interfaces, charge transport, and reactions in and of materials using advanced characterization techniques. She is a recipient of the 2020 Discovery Early Career Researcher Award. She is also the Youth Editorial Board Member of Carbon Energy and Nano Research Energy.
