Overview


Dr Kelly has wide-ranging interests in the field of biomedical sciences. In particular, examining protein chaperones and protein aggregates and their role in disease. Dr Kelly has recently been working at IHMRI researching:
  • Protein chaperones and proteostasis & discovering new chaperones.
  • Examining the roles of gasotransmitters and microvascular function in preterm babies. 
Dr Kelly is also a collaborator on projects looking at community health:
  • Retinal imaging of infants and young children as a non-invasive predictor of health.
  • The Illawarra Born project - a longitudinal study of Mothers and Babies of the Illawarra.
