  • I am a keen Metallurgist and Researcher, who enjoys solving problems, developing and progressing new ideas and gaining new understanding of the latest technology developments, steel products, applications and weldability. Currently I am working on improving the high strain rate toughness of Shipbuilding steels and the wire Arc Additive Manufacturing (WAAM) of Hastelloy alloys.
    I have expertise in understanding the mechanical property and microstructural relationships for steel, weldability and the thermo mechanical processing of microalloyed steels, particularly for plate applications such as; Shipbuilding, Platform, Pressure Vessel, Pipeline and Quench and Tempered grades.
