Overview


John Morrison is Emeritus Professor of Environmental Science at the University of Wollongong where he has worked since 1992.  His expertise is in soil and water management with particular interest in marine pollution and soil resources (atolls and volcanic islands) in the South Pacific Region. 
Current Position: Emeritus Professor of Environmental Science, School of Earth and Environmental Sciences (since 2014)
Previous positions:  BHP Professor of Environmental Science University of Wollongong (1992-2014)
Professor of Chemistry University of the South Pacific, Suva, Fiji (1985-1992)
Prior appointments in Fiji, Uganda, USA and UK
PhD Queens University Belfast 1971.

New Zealand, Fiji, Tonga, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Vanuatu, Cook Islands, Kiribati, Nauru, Marshall Islands, Guam, Federated States of Micronesia, Thailand, Vietnam, China, Japan, Uganda, Ireland.  Also visited or carried out short consultancies in about 20 other countries in Africa, S.E. Asia, Europe, South America and the Pacific.
