Overview


Jess Meza studied a Bachelor of Mathematics and a Bachelor of Creative Arts (Creative Writing) concurrently at the University of Wollongong. She graduated from both with distinction, and progressed onto a Bachelor of Mathematics (Honours) under the supervision of Professor Brian Cullis and Dr Chong You. Jess Meza is currently employed as an Associate Research Fellow at the Centre for Biometrics and Data Science for Sustainable Primary Industries based at the University of Wollongong as part of the Statistics for the Australian Grains Industry project funded by the Grains Research and Development Corporation.

Research Overview


  • Jess Meza is focused on the design and analysis of comparative experiments for cereal and legume crops using linear mixed models. Recent projects have focused on the analysis of genomic data, and varietal response to disease or water stress.
