Dr Jenny (Jing) Wang is a Lecturer in the School of Accounting, Economics and Finance (SAEF) at the University of Wollongong. Jenny completed her Doctor of Philosophy (Accounting) at the University of Waikato in 2019. Her thesis was entitled “Power, accommodation and resistance: A Foucauldian perspective on how internal management controls are compromised in Chinese hotels”. She employs both qualitative and quantitative research methods in conducting her research. Her main research interests are auditing, management accounting, accounting history, ethics and gender diversity with a focus on business, historical and accounting issues. She has published journal articles in Journal of Contemporary Accounting and Economics, Critical Perspectives on Accounting, Accounting and Finance, Corporate Ownership and Control, and The New Zealand Law Journal. She has received research funding from the Accounting and Finance Association of Australia and New Zealand (AFAANZ). Prior to joining UOW she taught at Unitec Institute of Technology and Auckland University of Technology.
