Overview


Dr Hassan Hosseinzadeh is a senior lecturer in public health specialized in health promotion. He is the Academic Program Director (APD) for Master of Public Health and Discipline Lead for Health Promotion within the school of Health and society.  He has particular interest in mixed method research in the area of primary care and health promotion. Enhancing the quality of life is at the heart of his research. Equity and empowerment are his passions.

Research Overview


  • Hassan has a strong interest in chronic disease prevention, control and management in community and primary care settings; lifestyle risk factor reduction; digital health; and infectious disease. He has extensive experience in both in both quantitative and qualitative methods, as well as systematic and meta-analysis reviews.

    Hassan plays a leadership role in developing chronic diseases prevention, control and management as well as engaging multidisciplinary academics within the school of Health and Society to address the growing burden and challenges of chronic diseases in the community.

    His research area has been very popular with international postgraduate students in particular.  He is currently supervising 8 PhD students from different countries including Bangladesh,Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Nepal, Jordan, India and Singapore.
