  • A transmission electron microscope (TEM) nanoindenter is a state of the art specialised TEM specimen holder that is capable of simultaneous in-situe high resolution force displacement measurement and TEM imaging. The capability enables researchers to correlate the measured force displacement curve with the local microstructure and structural evolution of an indented sample area which is crucial for revealing the structure mechanical property relationship of materials and the behaviour of materials under applied force at nanometre and sub-nanometre resolutions.
