Abstract


  • Development of super steel strip has emerged as one of the important basic engineering technologies. It can generate technical innovation and cost effectiveness in the automotive, construction and transportation fields in the 21st Century. The aim of the proposed program is to investigate the effects of key factors on mechanical properties of super steel strip and to develop a super steel strip using novel controlled rolling and ultra fast cooling. Super steel strip is expected to promote wider applications of carbon steel in industry. The expected outcomes are understanding of strengthening mechanisms, and the capacity to produce super steel strip with high performance in applications.
