Abstract


  • Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology opens up opportunities for new applications, which cannot be achieved by standard optical barcodes. However, RFID introduces new security challenges due to its vulnerability to various attacks such as malicious scanning and illegal tracking, which have a major negative impact on their deployment. Achieving security and privacy in RFID is difficult due to very limited computation resources. This project aims to develop new lightweight security technologies that are practical and which will help to solve these security problems in the current and future RFID systems. This innovative research will significantly contribute to the development of new secure RFID enabled systems and applications.
