Abstract


  • Development of advanced materials for bionics applications will facilitate innovation in fabrication of a new class of scaffolds and energy storage systems for bionic applications. Fabrication of these materials is expected to provide significant improvements in our ability to communicate with and stimulate living cells. In addition, development of a biocompatible energy system will provide a means of providing power to bionic devices with minimal risk to patients. We intend to develop and test these platforms in-vitro and in-vivo.
