Abstract


  • The proposed research will focus on (1) nanostructure engineering of novel iron-based superconductors, so as to facilitate a fundamental understanding of, and provide effective approaches towards, ameliorating of material microstructures that limit the supercurrent flow, as well as (2) facilitating the development of these materials in various forms for exploring electromagnetic properties relevant to applications. This challenging goal will be accomplished through a strong international collaboration of leading research teams with necessary expertise, experience, and world-class facilities in the field. The research is expected to produce exclusive high temperature superconductors with significantly enhanced electromagnetic performance.
