Grant

Scheme

  • Linkage Projects

Abstract

  • This study aims to develop a criterion-referenced tool to measure students' multiliteracy learning within technology rich, multimodal domans. Australia should lead the research area of multi-modal learning and multiliteracy assessment. In partnership with the global leading assessment and measurement company, Pearson Foundation, a tool will be developed which can be used by Austrlaian schools to explore multimodal learning (visual, media and technology). Evidence shows that multimodal learning in schools is occurring but a valid measurement and diagnostic tool which can provide reliable scores and accurate diagnostic information does not exist. This tool is essential for teachers to guide decisions about learning.
