Abstract


  • The principal objective is to provide more accurate measurement of methane emmissions for developed rangelands in northern Australia. The project will focus on the scientific and technological challenges of achieving verifiable measures of methane emissions - across spatial and temporal scales - from the laboratory to the landscape. The outcome of the project will place Australia as a world leader in the measurement and management of greenhouse gas emissions from land use systems involving livestock.
