  • Fatemeh Mokhtari received her PhD in material science from Intelligent Polymer Research Institute, the University of Wollongong in 2020 for her work on the self-powered smart fabrics for wearable technologies. She has maintained a research interest in this area specialising in fabrication and characterization of micro/nanofibers of functional materials for sensing, smart textiles, and energy storage and conversion. Fatemeh has an outstanding record of publications in the most prestigious journals in the field, such as Journal of Materials Chemistry A and Advanced Materials Technologies, and a book chapter related to her PhD work. Her Published article had been selected as the best of the journal of Advanced Materials Technology in 2020 and top-cited article in 2021. Fatemeh’s PhD thesis was awarded the prize and selected to be published in the book series of Springer Theses in 2021. Fatemeh has published over 24 journal articles, as at May 2022, she had in excess of 517 citations and an "h-index" of 12.
    Her current research focuses on developing new technologies and materials for harvesting and storing energy in the field of nanotechnology and ferroelectric nanocomposite materials for catalysis applications.
