Dr Fariba Ramezani is an economist with expertise in macroeconomic modelling, including Computable General Equilibrium (CGE) modelling, dynamic stochastic general equilibrium models, and financial analysis. Her areas of interest and specialisation include environmental and resource economics, infrastructure economics, and public finance. Dr Ramezani has particular skills in analysing decision-making problems under uncertainty. She began her PhD (Integrated) program at the University of Wollongong in 2012, having been awarded a SMART Scholarship. During the four years of the program, Dr Ramezani has extended her knowledge of macroeconomic modelling, and has developed skills in computer programs such as Matlab and Stata. In 2014, Dr Ramezani was a graduate student visitor at University of California Davis, USA. She has more than four years of teaching experience at UOW. Before undertaking her PhD, she had broad commercial experience, for instance in the steel industry undertaking complex financial analysis.
