Overview

Ellie Taylor is a Project Officer for Engagement Frontiers 1 and 4 at Early Start Research.

Ellie’s earlier research endeavours focused on attention-deficits and impulsivity in child and adolescent populations. Ellie has since worked with the New South Wales State Emergency Service, examining resilience and post-traumatic growth among emergency service personnel; and the UOW Global Challenges program, exploring the benefits of therapeutic recreation for people living with mental illness.

Ellie currently manages Early Start research projects focusing on food and movement behaviours and play in child populations. This includes an international study of 24-hour movement behaviours in the early years (called SUNRISE) which involves over 30 countries, two-thirds of which are either low- or middle-income according to the UN Human Development Index.
