Corinne is an Associate Professor within the Faculty of Business and Law. Corinne worked at professional services firm KPMG before her commencing her first academic position at Macquarie University. In 2004, Corinne took up a PhD scholarship at UOW completing her doctoral studies from 2004-2006, before joining academic staff in 2006.
Corinne has a particular interest in accounting standard setting and how regulatory processes are politically influenced, specifically in the context of the extractive industries. Corinne’s doctoral thesis considered the role of power and politics in the international accounting standard setting process for the extractive industries. In addition to extractive industries-based accounting research, Corinne has written on topics including accounting history, carbon accounting, corporate boards, academic networks, accounting practice in China, and accounting education.
Corinne is a member of the Editorial Boards of Accounting, Auditing and Accountability Journal, Critical Perspectives on Accounting, Accounting Forum, and Accounting History journals, which are leading interdisciplinary journals in the accounting discipline. She is also a member of CPA Australia and she is a Justice of the Peace.
Corinne teaches on the Higher Degree Research programs and is an active PhD supervisor.
