Christopher has a PhD in the area of organisational change. His research focuses on practices and processes in organisations and how they are shaped by the operations of time, power and politics. Current projects include: the politics of time and organisational change; a review of time and temporality, sensemaking and narrative in organisational change and; most recently, inter-personal and organisational misconduct leading to workplace suicide. He is experienced in the use of a range of qualitative methodologies including collaborative and participative action research and ethnography. His research has appeared in journals such as: Human Relations, International Journal of Management Reviews, Organization Studies, Journal of Organizational Change Management, Studies in Higher Education and Continuing Studies in Higher Education. He is co-author with Patrick Dawson of a monograph published by Routledge in 2016 entitled Organizational Change and Temporality: Bending the Arrow of Time. He is the current Management Discipline Leader in the School of Management and Marketing.
