Overview


Charles Areni (PhD, Florida, 1991) is the Executive Dean of the Faculty of Business and Professor of Marketing.

His research focuses on (1) retail management (2) gender stereotypes, (3) branding strategy, (4) marketing communication, and (5) eating and obesity, and has been published in various academic journals, including the Journal of Consumer Research, the Journal of Retailing, the Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, the International Journal of Research in Marketing, and Cognition and Emotion. He has served on the editorial review boards of the Journal of Retailing, the Journal of Business Research, the Journal of Advertising, and Psychology & Marketing, and has been an expert witness in federal trademark and intellectual property cases in multiple countries.

In addition, he has worked as a consultant for the Commonwealth Bank of Australia, Woolworths, the Houston Astros of Major League Baseball, the Australasian Performing Rights Association, among other clients.
