Overview


Dr Cammi Webb-Gannon is a Lecturer with the School of Health and Society at the University of Wollongong. She is an early career researcher and decolonization ethnographer focusing on the Pacific Islands region with a long-term interest in West Papua’s independence movement and, more recently, in Australian South Sea Islander political identity and decolonization in Kanaky (New Caledonia). Cammi is the Coordinator of the West Papua Project at Sydney University and the Co-secretary of the Australian Association for Pacific Studies. She is the recipient of an Australian Research Council Linkage Grant (2015-2020) titled Music, Mobile Phones and Community Justice in Melanesia.
