Overview


Dr Byron Kemp is a social researcher with experience in social marketing, demography and public health. Byron originally completed a Bachelor of Commerce at the University of Wollongong and was awarded the University Medal for his Honours research. Byron then worked for several years in research roles outside academia, including at the Australian Bureau of Statistics and Anglicare Sydney. In 2020, Byron was awarded his PhD in Public Health at the University of Wollongong. Byron's PhD research involved a mixed-method exploration of changes in non-organised physical activity participation between childhood and adolescence. Byron also holds a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, and is passionate about developing accessible and engaging methods for teaching complex subject matter, particularly research methods and statistics.
