Du, Bobby Dr.

Lecturer in Transport & Urban Modelling, Course Coordinator

  • Faculty of Engineering and Information Sciences - SMART Infrastructure Facility

Overview

Dr. Bo (Bobby) Du is currently a Lecturer in Transport & Urban Modelling and Course Coordinator at the SMART Infrastructure Facility in University of Wollongong (UOW). He received his PhD degree in Transportation Engineering from Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore. Dr. Du’s research interests focus on better understanding people’s travel behaviour and practically improving transport system using modelling, optimization, simulation and data analytics tools. He is a recipient of the Fred Burggraf Award from Transportation Research Board, USA in 2016, which recognizes excellence in transportation research by researchers 35 years of age or younger.

At SMART, Dr. Du is responsible for transport modelling and relevant data analysis to support researches and projects. As a Course Coordinator, he is contributing to the transformation of SMART from a research-only facility to research & teaching institute by developing and coordinating teaching programs with academics and communication team within SMART, across UOW’s faculties, and beyond.
