Research Overview


  • Adam is a postdoctoral research fellow at the University of Wollongong and is part of the Australian Centre for Electromagnetic Bioeffects Research (ACEBR) human neurophysiology research group. After receiving an honours degree in Psychology from the University of Wollongong in 2013, Adam successfully completed his PhD in 2018. His PhD research focused on investigating the possible determinants of Idiopathic Environmental Intolerance attributed to Electromagnetic Fields, commonly known as Electromagnetic Hypersensitivity. Adam's postdoctoral work is focused on investigating the effect of radiofrequency exposure on human brain function (EEG), cognition, and emotion processing, and the mechanisms associated with these effects. He also has a broad interest in psychophysiology, cognitive neuroscience and health psychology, and has been involved in a number of collaborative projects and national guidelines development groups which have directly shaped Australian health policy in relation to sleep duration and screen time duration for children and adolescents.
