Professor, Dr Dilan Thampapillai, is the Dean of Law at the University of Wollongong. He was formerly the Associate Dean of Postgraduate Programs at the UNSW Business School. At UNSW his underlying appointment was as the Director of Education at the Centre for Social Impact in the UNSW Business School at the University of New South Wales. Dr Thampapillai is also a Senior Research Associate with Jesus College, Cambridge.
Dr Thampapillai has served as the National Administrator of the Philip C Jessup International Law Moot Competition in Australia from 2020 to 2024. He has previously been the co-chair of the International Economic Law Group of the Australia & New Zealand Society of International Law (ANZSIL) and the Deputy Chair of the Diversity & Equity Working Group of the Australian National University.
In 2017, Dilan was a Faculty Visitor at the Faculty of Law, Cambridge University and at the Faculty of Law, Singapore Management University. He was previously a Senior Lecturer at the ANU College of Law from 2014 – 2021.
