BIO
Clara is a fisheries scientist, focusing on the human dimensions of fisheries and fisheries sustainability. She completed her PhD on the social-ecological dimensions of blue swimmer crab small-scale fisheries in Western Australia. Since 2023, Clara works as a postdoctoral research fellow at the Australian National Centre for Ocean Resources and Security (ANCORS). Her research is on scaling community-based fisheries management, with a special focus on coastal fisheries in Vanuatu.
Before joining ANCORS, Clara worked with conservation organizations such as World Wide Fund for Nature (Madagascar), and the Zoological Society of London (United Kingdom), as well as research institutions such as the Mediterranean Institute for Advanced Studies (Spain) and Murdoch University (Australia).
