I am an Early Career and Post Doctoral Researcher with a strong interest in the way individuals (particularly children and young people) engage with their worlds, particularly through digital technologies. My work explores the intersections of learning, creativity, agency, datafication, artificial intelligence, and social media, with a focus on amplifying children’s voices and supporting their meaningful participation in digital spaces.

My research is grounded in a commitment to equity, inclusion, and diversity. I draw on interdisciplinary approaches to investigate how digital environments shape children’s experiences, identities, and opportunities for expression. I’m especially interested in how young people navigate and co-create digital cultures, and how we can design systems and practices that support their rights and wellbeing.

I completed my PhD at the University of Wollongong, where I examined adolescent engagement in music education. Since then, I’ve held a range of academic and professional roles, including Lecturer, Subject Coordinator, and Research Fellow. I’ve also worked in applied research settings, including at the Quirky Kid Psychology Clinic and the UOW Makerspace, where I facilitated creative, hands-on learning experiences.

At UOW, I’m based in the School of Education and affiliated with the ARC Centre of Excellence for the Digital Child. My work contributes to national and international conversations about children’s digital lives, and I’m passionate about research that informs policy, practice, and public understanding.
