Dr Brian Moore is a Senior Lecturer whose research examines the mental health and wellbeing of children and adolescents. His work explores the effects of physical activity on youth mental health, bullying interventions, behaviour support school interventions, and school-based mental health services. Brian’s Meta-Analysis on Martial Art’s Influence on Adolescent Wellbeing is the second most cited work in the topic (T.46035). He has led Commonwealth of Australia and NSW Government funded projects examining martial arts-based psychosocial interventions and community attitudes towards teachers supporting student mental health. Brian collaborates with researchers internationally and is currently working on studies in India, Japan, and Nepal. He is an advisory committee member for the Australian and New Zealand Mental Health Association, a Special Advisory Group member of UNESCO’s International Centre of Martial Arts for Youth Development, and an editorial board member for the International Journal of Educational Research (Q1). He is committed to promoting youth mental health and wellbeing for good health (SDG3) and quality education (SDG4).
