SERVICE & LEADERSHIP SUMMARY
Anthony's governance roles have significantly impacted UOW and other university’s teaching and learning, ethics and research policy and practice by championing a Country centred approach, thereby improving conditions for Aboriginal HDR students. He has currently accepted an 0.6 role as Director of Early Start: Culture and Community. Some of Anthony's key contributions include representing the DVC Research (delegate) for the Universities Australia, facilitating workshops on ethical conduct and serving as a standing member of Academic Senate and the Quality Assurance Review Group. Within the university, he has contributed to the Research Evaluations Committee as part of an Indigenous panel and as Impact Champion for the ARC Engagement & Impact Assessment and Impact Strategy. Additionally, I am an active member of other committees including Aboriginal Advisory and Advancement Committee and Indigenous Research Strategy Committee where he provides advise on Country centred approaches. He has also shaped UoW research outcomes by serving for two years or more on the Early Career Disruption Committee, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Research Strategy Higher Degree Research Training (HDRT) and the UOW PURE Futures Committee, which was established in response to the COVID-19 crisis. Within the Faculty of Social Sciences, I have held committee membership through the Human Research Ethics Committee and Social Sciences executive committee.
