My main areas of research are spatio-temporal modelling and statistical computing. I am particularly interested in exploring and designing new methods that scale with data size and that are sufficiently flexible to model phenomena that we encounter in the real world. I have published numerous articles in the field, and also a book on Spatio-Temporal Modelling with R, with Chris Wikle and Noel Cressie (https://spacetimewithr.org/). In recent years my work has focused on integrating deep learning methodologies with spatial statistics for addressing challenges in modelling and estimation.
