Dr Amanda Rita Gigliotti is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Education at the University of Wollongong .

Her research focuses on teaching and learning with technology in schools and higher education.

Specifically, her work investigates teachers’ design decisions when planning for and using technology in their teaching. 

Dr Gigliotti's has exhibited exemplary leadership in technology-enhanced learning. She has mentored over 100 academics internationally across various disciplines and delivered highly successful professional development initiatives.

Her teaching excellence and outstanding achievements in education have been recognised through awards such as the University of Wollongong's Vice Chancellor (Early Career) Award for Outstanding Contribution to Teaching and Learning. 

Dr Gigliotti is the chair of UOW’s Early Career Researcher Committee and the founder and chair of ASSH’s Early Career Academic Network. She is proactive in developing initiatives that support and/or build the capacity of early career colleagues in the areas such as teaching and learning and research.

Dr Gigliotti is the lead/co-lead investigator on several research projects and has secured grant funding amounting to $292,797.25. She has published 6 journal articles, 2 book chapters, 2 reports and 1 blog as well as presented at 5 Australian and international conferences.

In the School of Education, Dr Gigliotti is the Co-Academic Program Director for the Bachelor of Primary Education.
