RESEARCH INTERESTS
Dr Mohamedali’s research interests centre on translational proteomics, biomarker discovery and the application of mass spectrometry-based approaches to cancer biology, particularly colorectal cancer. His work has explored the use of advanced proteomic workflows, including DIA/SWATH methodologies, recombinant protein spectral libraries, plasma proteomics, FFPE tissue analysis and bioinformatics pipelines to improve early diagnosis, prognosis and clinical translation.
He is also interested in the scholarship of teaching and learning in science, particularly work-integrated learning, employability, innovation education and the development of authentic, problem-based curricula. A recurring theme across his research and teaching is the translation of specialist knowledge into meaningful outcomes for students, researchers, clinicians, industry partners and the wider community.
