Dr Abidali Mohamedali is a biomedical scientist, educator and academic leader with expertise across biochemistry, molecular biology, proteomics, cancer biomarker discovery and science education. His research focuses on translational proteomics and mass spectrometry-based approaches to understanding disease biology, particularly in colorectal cancer diagnosis and prognosis.

Alongside his research, he has extensive experience in higher education teaching and curriculum leadership, having designed and convened undergraduate and postgraduate units in biochemistry, biomolecular sciences, chemistry, innovation, entrepreneurship and work-integrated learning. His academic practice is shaped by a commitment to evidence-informed teaching, authentic learning, student development and the translation of scientific knowledge into meaningful clinical, educational and community impact.
